The International School of Siena, opened in 2010, is a warm, collaborative, and internationally minded community offering the full IB continuum. We are seeking an inspiring Physics Teacher to join us from January 2026 or August 2026, teaching across MYP and DP. The successful candidate will bring enthusiasm for their subject, strong conceptual understanding, and the ability to guide students through challenging scientific thinking and investigation. You will contribute to the ongoing development of the science department and help promote STEM across the school.
Job Responsibility:
Teach Physics across MYP and DP following IB expectations and inquiry-based pedagogy
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that develop conceptual understanding and scientific thinking
Support students with subject choices, DP pathways, and exam preparation
Develop and contribute to science curriculum planning and vertical alignment
Maintain a safe, well-organised, and stimulating laboratory environment
Use data and formative assessment to inform teaching and support student progress
Collaborate with colleagues across the science team and wider school
Participate in school events, enrichment activities, and professional development
Requirements:
A recognised teaching qualification and a degree in Physics or a related field
Experience teaching Physics at MYP and DP level (IB experience strongly preferred)
Strong subject expertise and confidence with practical science and lab work
The ability to differentiate effectively and support a range of learner needs
Excellent communication, organisation, and collaborative skills
