We're excited to offer an opportunity for a Teacher of Physics to join our outstanding Science team. It is an exciting time to work with the Science team, with large numbers of students choosing to study the triple sciences at GCSE, along with ever-increasing numbers of students studying the sciences including Physics at A level.
Job Responsibility:
Teaching Physics across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level
Following the AQA specifications for GCSE and A-Level
Integrating STEM careers, educational visits, and talks within the science curriculum
Participating in departmental and academy-wide STEM opportunities and trips
Requirements:
A good honours degree in Physics or a closely related subject (e.g. Engineering, Astrophysics)
A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS or equivalent) with Teaching Experience
Eligibility to work as a teacher in the UK
Secure subject knowledge across the Physics curriculum
Nice to have:
A postgraduate qualification (e.g. MSc, PhD) in Physics or Education
Evidence of ongoing professional development in Physics education
Training or accreditation related to STEM enrichment or curriculum leadership
