Job Description

Handshake is seeking Physics PhDs to support AI research through flexible, hourly contract work. This is not a traditional academic or full-time role. You'll use your advanced physics training to evaluate AI-generated content and provide feedback that helps AI better understand physical reasoning, mathematical modeling, theoretical analysis, and technical problem-solving. This is an ongoing, project-based opportunity that can be done alongside research, teaching, postdoctoral work, or industry employment.

Job Responsibility

  • design rigorous, domain-relevant questions and review AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, logical consistency, and physical validity.

Requirements

  • Doctoral students and graduates (including those currently enrolled in a PhD program or in postdoctoral positions) in Physics or closely related fields
  • Strong background in advanced physical reasoning, mathematical modeling, theoretical analysis, and quantitative problem-solving across core areas such as classical mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, statistical mechanics, or related subdisciplines.
