Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, is seeking a full-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our growing team on the Marillac Campus in Overland Park, Kansas. The ideal candidate will deliver comprehensive evaluation and treatment for children, adolescents, and families across a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral needs, including outpatient clinic care, inpatient coverage, and participation in shared weekend call.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, therapists, nurses, and social workers to deliver coordinated care
  • Participate in supervision, teaching, and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives that support quality improvement, innovation, and access to care
  • Optional involvement in research or program development based on candidate interests

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Kansas and Missouri
  • Demonstrated commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration
