We are looking to add a Physician Office Registered Nurse at Baptist Cardiology, located at Baptist Mandarin Landing in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time, day-shift opportunity Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Some travel to other locations is required when needed. As the Physician Office Registered Nurse, you will provide nursing assistance to physicians, greet and chaperone patients during medical part of visit, obtain vital signs, and maintain medical documentation. This candidate should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and must show flexibility. This is a team and family oriented office! It is busy and fast paced, so we are looking for a focused, task-oriented, self motivated, energetic team player. You must knows how to handle yourself in a professional environment while also having fun! Our ideal candidate is friendly, well spoken, and has a phenominal work ethic. This is a beautiful location to work at with ample parking options!

Job Responsibility:

  • Scheduling care, treatment, follow up visits, and diagnostic tests per physicians
  • Handling and processing prescriptions and referrals
  • Performing waived test list in laboratory
  • IV Therapy
  • Managing phone calls from patients, providing appropriate advice and instructions
  • Educating patients and their families about cardiovascular conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications
  • Determining urgency of patient's condition
  • Administering EKGs to patients as ordered by physicians
  • Providing instructions on medication management, dietary changes, and other therapeutic interventions
  • Assisting other team members as needed
  • Providing compassionate patient care and support thorughout the visit

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree - Nursing
  • Clinical Experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
