We are looking for a skilled and organized Physician Office Liaison to join our team in New Haven, Connecticut. In this hybrid position, you will play a critical role in administrative support and patient coordination, ensuring the seamless onboarding of new patients and supporting the multidisciplinary care team. This is a long-term contract opportunity within the healthcare industry, offering the chance to contribute to meaningful patient care in a collaborative environment.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate new patient consultations, adhering to established protocols and ensuring timely scheduling for a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, oncologists, and midlevel practitioners
Compile and organize comprehensive medical records, including test results and diagnostic reports, to ensure all necessary documentation is prepared for weekly multidisciplinary breast clinics
Serve as a patient liaison during clinic sessions, facilitating communication between patients and physicians, and ensuring the clinic operates efficiently and smoothly
Support administrative needs for the Breast Medical Oncology team, including managing schedules and prioritizing tasks to optimize workflow
Assist with onboarding new patients, guiding them through the intake process and addressing any concerns to ensure a positive experience
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, utilizing computer-based systems to streamline documentation and scheduling
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure protocols and procedures are followed effectively, enhancing the quality of patient care
Monitor clinical trial operations and maintain compliance with relevant guidelines and standards
Utilize Epic software and other tools to manage patient scheduling and documentation efficiently
Actively contribute to the coordination of multidisciplinary team efforts, ensuring patients receive comprehensive and timely care
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical setting, demonstrating proficiency in patient coordination and administrative tasks
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ability to compile and interpret medical records
Associate's degree preferred, with relevant experience in healthcare or a similar field
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively between patients and healthcare providers
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with computer-based information systems, including Epic software
Knowledge of clinical trial operations and protocols in a healthcare setting
Detail-oriented approach to documentation and scheduling, ensuring accuracy and compliance
