Job Description:

The Physician Liaison works under the Executive VP and Chief of Patient Care Services and uses the nursing process to guide and improve outcomes for defined patient populations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Educating, consulting, and assisting in patient management
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team (physicians, nurses, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, dietary, rehab, and others)
  • Identifying opportunities to improve patient care, outcomes, and cost-effectiveness using current research and literature
  • Supporting the mission, vision, and objectives of Floyd Medical Center

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nursing program
  • Active RN license in the State of Georgia
  • Minimum of 10 years working with the assigned patient population

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Participation in a specialty organization
  • Specialty certification
