Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, is seeking a dedicated Transplant Hepatologist to join our academic department committed to advancing gastroenterology and hepatology through cutting-edge technology, collaborative research, and outstanding patient care. This position offers a unique opportunity to practice in a tertiary care setting while actively contributing to medical student, resident, and fellow education, clinical research, and multidisciplinary patient care. Job Responsibility

  • Manage all aspects of liver disease
  • Essential functions include upper endoscopy procedure, colonoscopy, liver biopsies, as well as patient visits in the outpatient clinic and providing inpatient consultative services
  • Serve as a clinical educator to GI fellows, residents, and medical students
  • Engage in clinical or basic science research
  • Participate in educational conferences

Requirements

  • MD, DO or equivalent
  • Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology
  • Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri
