Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System, Division of Geriatric Medicine, is seeking a faculty member to join its expanding team to support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of older adult care, as well as satisfying teaching, research, and academic responsibilities at the region's quaternary referral center.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide optimal medical care to older adult patients
  • Deliver consultative services to colleagues within the faculty
  • Teach Geriatrics Fellows, Internal Medicine residents, Family Medicine residents, and medical students in clinical settings
  • Balance responsibilities between inpatient consultations and coverage in skilled nursing facilities
  • Participate in educational and administrative conferences
  • Collaborate with faculty and interdisciplinary professionals
  • Implement the Age Friendly Health System Initiative
  • Contribute to the Landon Center on Aging

Requirements

  • Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Geriatric Fellowship or Board Certified/Eligible in Geriatrics
