Job Description:

The University of Kansas Health System, Great Bend Campus, is seeking a Family Medicine physician with Sports Medicine fellowship training to provide compassionate and comprehensive primary care, musculoskeletal, and sports-related services. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality primary and sports medicine care in a rural, full-service community hospital supported by The University of Kansas Health System. The physician will join a collaborative team of five Family Medicine physicians and five advanced practice providers (APPs) in a physician-led model focused on clinical excellence and patient access.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide full-scope ambulatory Family Medicine and Sports Medicine care
  • Diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, injury prevention, and rehabilitation
  • Perform in-office procedures such as joint and tendon injections, fracture management, and ultrasound-guided interventions
  • Collaborate with primary care, orthopedics, and rehabilitation services to support comprehensive patient care
  • One day per week in the orthopedic clinic
  • Call coverage is 1:5

Requirements:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent
  • Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine
  • Fellowship trained or experienced in Sports Medicine
  • Experience in musculoskeletal and sports-related care is preferred
  • Eligible for or hold a Kansas medical license
  • J-1 Visa candidates are welcome to apply
