Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Family Medicine, is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Geriatrics physician with fellowship training in Geriatrics to join our faculty. The role is part of an integrated care model supported by extensive ancillary and sub-specialty services. Our department fosters a collaborative and collegial environment, emphasizing work-life integration and professional growth within a mission-driven academic health system.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide compassionate geriatric care to a diverse patient population that is >65 years old
  • Specialize in geriatric-specific syndromes, such as dementia, delirium, falls, incontinence, palliative care and frailty
  • Active participation in the education and supervision of medical students and residents

Requirements

  • MD, DO or equivalent
  • Board certified/board eligible in family medicine and geriatrics
  • Completion of a geriatric medicine fellowship
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Kansas and Missouri

Nice to have

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an academic environment
  • Strong teaching and leadership skills
