Job Description:

Berry Street is building a nutrition-first metabolic care model that pairs dietitian-led treatment with the clinical rigor and guidance required to operate at national scale. We are seeking Physicians (MD or DO) to provide senior clinical oversight across programs that require medical leadership – ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory readiness as Berry Street expands into more regulated care environments. You’ll help set the clinical standards that enable thousands of patients to receive evidence-based nutrition care, while supporting new programs, stronger measurement, and continued clinical expansion. You’ll work closely with dietitians, operations, and leadership, and serve as a credible clinical voice with payers, partners, and regulators.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide physician oversight for Berry Street clinical pathway programs requiring medical guidance (including Medicare-regulated programs such as ACCESS and ELEVATE), ensuring patients receive safe, evidence-based care within a dietitian-led model
  • Establish and maintain clinical standards, protocols, and escalation pathways to ensure patients receive the right level of care at the right time
  • Support regulatory applications and ongoing compliance, including required physician supervision and sign-off
  • Order and oversee diagnostic labs (as applicable) to support clinical monitoring and outcomes measurement
  • Partner closely with registered dietitians and care operations to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care across nutrition, lifestyle, and medical considerations
  • Serve as a senior clinical representative in payer, partner, and pharma conversations, reinforcing Berry Street’s clinical credibility and philosophy
  • Contribute clinical input to program design and long-term strategy as Berry Street expands metabolic and nutrition care offerings

Requirements:

  • MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
  • U.S.-based and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Obesity Medicine board certification strongly preferred, or equivalent experience in metabolic health
  • Strong understanding of GLP-1 therapies, including clinical, regulatory, and reputational considerations
  • Experience operating in consumer-facing, digitally enabled healthcare models (e.g., virtual care, health tech, value-based care)
  • Comfortable working within a dietitian-led, interdisciplinary care model, with execution supported by a network of clinicians or fractional MDs
What we offer:
  • Clinical impact: Help expand evidence-based care via scalable, modern systems
  • Build for the future: Influence how prevention, education, and chronic care come together on one platform
  • This is a remote, fractional role, with the opportunity to convert to full-time
