Job Description:

This role is based at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, a nationally recognized Level 1 trauma center and leader in advanced neurosurgical care. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside top specialists in a dynamic environment where your expertise truly makes an impact.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work nights in an autonomous environment while collaborating with a highly skilled team
  • Learn from multiple providers and grow your expertise in neurosurgical and neurointerventional care
  • Be part of a large, dynamic team: 5 attending physicians, 13 surgical PAs, and neurosurgery residents
  • Provide overnight medical services for complex cases, supporting treatment plans and follow-up care
  • Serve as First Assist in the OR when needed
  • Contribute to coding, billing compliance, and quality initiatives

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent as a Physician Assistant (required as of January 1, 2018)
  • At least 1 year of Physician Assistant experience in a relevant clinical setting preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
  • Current NCCPA Certification
  • Active Illinois Physician Assistant License
  • Illinois Controlled Substance License (within 6 months of hire)
  • Eligible for DEA registration
  • DEA registration required within 6 months of hire (may vary by practice site)
  • Current BLS Certification
  • PALS/ACLS Certification as required by practice site
