Orthopedic Trauma Physician Assistant to join Atrium Health Navicent Musculoskeletal Care Orthopedic Trauma. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic Trauma Team at Atrium Health Navicent. The PA will work closely with orthopedic trauma surgeons to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing orthopedic procedures. Responsibilities include patient assessments, orthopedic consults, managing postoperative care including pain management, and developing treatment plans.
Job Responsibility:
Participates in team focused patient care by means of patient examinations augmented by diagnostic and therapeutic evaluations/ interventions in the medical and/or surgical theatres of health care
Using medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan
Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care
Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures
Explains the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient
Procedural skills per department or practice guidelines
Opportunity to participate in basic science and clinical research projects

Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
Master's Degree preferred
Current Georgia Medical Board Medical License
Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to start
Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing is required to start
