Job Description:

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to our Outpatient Rehab Department in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN position which will support weekday coverage of our Baptist outpatient rehab clinics across the Jacksonville metro area. No weekend requirements. We are looking to add a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to our adult outpatient team. Caseload includes various diagnoses - neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and general medical. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in treating patients in an outpatient setting.

Job Responsibility:

Under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, provides physical therapy services to patients, as prescribed by the attending physician, in order to help improve or restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability
Participates in departmental operations and in performance improvement activities
Responsible for remaining within budget guidelines
Participate in mandatory education and licensure requirements

Requirements:

Associate's Degree
1-2 years Experience as Physical Therapy Assistant
Active BLS from the American Heart Association
Licensure from the FL Department of Health
Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant Required

Nice to have:

Bachelor's Degree
General Outpatient Rehab Experience
Experience with post-op orthopedic care
