Physical Therapy Assistant

• Under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, provides physical therapy services to patients, as prescribed by the attending physician, in order to help improve or restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability
• Participates in departmental operations and in performance improvement activities
• Responsible for remaining within budget guidelines
• Participate in mandatory education and licensure requirements

• Associate degree (or higher) in Physical Therapy Assistant Required
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant from FL Department of Health Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Required
• Active BLS from the American Heart Association and licensure from the FL Department of Health required

Experience in treating patients in an outpatient setting
