Requirements

Associate degree (or higher) in Physical Therapy Assistant Required
Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant from FL Department of Health Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Required
At least 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant Experience in the Acute Care setting strongly Preferred

Job Responsibility

Under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, provides physical therapy services to patients, as prescribed by the attending physician, in order to help improve or restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability
Participates in departmental operations and in performance improvement activities
Responsible for remaining within budget guidelines
Participate in mandatory education and licensure requirements

Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (ASPT)
Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
