Job Description:

Provide therapy and evaluation services in accordance with best practices as defined by licensing board and governing agencies.

Job Responsibility:

Provide therapy and evaluation services in accordance with best practices
Plans and administers medically prescribed therapy and evaluation services
Facilitates development of essential skills necessary to promote independence
Reviews social history, psychological, medical, and previous therapy reports/records
Meet with individual and/or parent/guardian to discuss and establish needs
Administers appropriate tests and evaluates to determine functional level and potential
Communicates information to team participants and provides input for treatment plan development
Makes referral or recommendation for therapy and/or equipment
Develops treatment plan from physician's orders and evaluation results
Conducts individual and/or group sessions within the clinic site
Communicates individual’s program and program changes to team members
Modifies treatment and equipment, when necessary
Completes paperwork and other documentation as required
Utilizes evidence-based methods to address challenging behavior
Accountable for maintaining 75% efficiency of direct therapy services
Trains and disseminates information to individual and/or parent/guardian regarding treatment programs
May provide in-service to peers or other disciplines
Supervision of practicum students

Requirements:

Degree in physical therapy from an accredited four-year college or university
Licensed Physical Therapist in Arkansas
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Knowledge of best practices and interdisciplinary programming
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with individuals at diverse levels
Demonstrated commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusiveness
Ability to independently prioritize and plan work activities
Ability to problem-solve independently or in a group setting
Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Google
Must be able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
