Job Description:

Baptist Medical Center hiring a Physical Therapist for the Hospital Rehab Department in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a PRN position located at the Baptist Clay location in Fleming Island. We are looking to add a PRN Physical Therapist to our inpatient, acute care team. Caseload includes various diagnoses - neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and general medical.

Job Responsibility:

Evaluates, plans, directs and administers physical therapy treatment to patients in an adult acute care, hospital inpatient setting
Provides patient care to help improve or restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability
Provides minimal outpatient care, mainly for neuro patients and upper extremity wounds (job competency training available)
Participates in departmental operations and in performance improvement activities
Responsible for remaining within budget guidelines
Participates in mandatory education and licensure requirements
Provides ongoing patient and family education
Must be comfortable floating to other Baptist campuses in Jacksonville, FL for coverage purposes as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree
At least 1 year of Experience working in an Acute Care setting strongly preferred
Orthopedics
Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
Neuro Experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Licensed Physical Therapist Required

Nice to have:

Master's Degree
experience in acute care, ortho, neuro, wound care, hand therapy and splinting experience
