The Physical Therapy Resident, under supervision, serves as novice competent physical therapist, who conducts patient assessments, develops the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs within scope of practice. Receives directed mentorship in development of specialty beyond competence. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care.

Requirements:
Graduation from an approved School of Physical Therapy
Licensure by the Physical Therapy Board of California
Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare
CCS paneling when eligible
Prefer one year full time experience as a PT
Preferred: Hospital based experience
Broad knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices and CHLA patient care policies and procedures
Ability to maintain a therapeutic and professional demeanor
Ability to apply basic concepts of evidence-based practice
Ability to prioritize patient therapy tasks
Ability to communicate tactfully, professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing
