Physical Therapist Resident

• Conducts patient assessments
• Develops the plan of care
• Implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs within scope of practice
• Receives directed mentorship in development of specialty beyond competence
• Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care

• Graduation from an approved School of Physical Therapy
• Licensure by the Physical Therapy Board of California
• Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare
• CCS paneling when eligible
• Prefer one year full time experience as a PT
• Preferred: Hospital based experience
• Broad knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices and CHLA patient care policies and procedures
• Ability to maintain a therapeutic and professional demeanor
• Ability to apply basic concepts of evidence-based practice
• Ability to prioritize patient therapy tasks
• Ability to communicate tactfully, professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing
