Job Description

Evaluates and treats patient populations for physical therapy needs.

Job Responsibility

  • Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress
  • Provides information regarding appropriate selection and use of adaptive equipment and support resources
  • Plans or assists with patient discharge from therapy services
  • Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to issues identified, required frequency of treatments, and involves the patient and family
  • Supervises activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel
  • Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition

  • Physical Therapist License - State of Florida
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
