Job Description

The Acute Pediatric Therapy team at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a full time Physical Therapist to work with pediatric populations in the acute care and outpatient settings. Qualified applicants must have excellent communication, flexibility and time management skills, as well as a strong desire to implement the most current and evidence based practice. Candidates will have the opportunity to collaborate with pediatric therapists across the organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide patient care assessment and treatment
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation
  • Meet department financial and productivity standards
  • Participate in process management to optimize quality and efficiency of services
  • Promote professional development and education of other health care workers and provide representation on committees
  • Supervise physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students
  • Communicate in a professional and timely manner with patients, physicians, staff, and all external customers
  • Provide appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines
  • Adhere to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the State of North Carolina with current licensure
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited physical therapy school required
  • CPR certification required every two years
  • Excellent communication, flexibility and time management skills
  • Strong desire to implement the most current and evidence based practice

Nice to have

  • Pediatric experience is a plus
  • Active member of APTA encouraged, but not required
