As our Physical Therapist, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. Every day you will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment. To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.
Job Responsibility:
Perform initial evaluations
Develop and update individualized plans of care
Provide a variety of direct treatments
Consistently meet patient care productivity standards
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families
Promote a positive customer service environment
Administer therapeutic exercises and physical therapy modalities according to the physical therapy plan of care
Instruct, motivate and assist patients to learn and improve functional activity, such as pre‐ambulation, transfer, ambulation and daily living activities
Observe patients during treatments, assess, and compile data on patients’ responses to treatments and progress and reports verbally or in writing to the physical therapist
may communicate updates to physicians
Fit patients for, adjusts, and trains patients in the use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, walkers and wheelchairs
May perform clerical duties
Promote and support positive and professional customer service, while interacting with clients, guests and hospital personnel
Work collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team, other departments and disciplines to assure patients and customer’s needs are met in a timely manner
Encourage the active participation of the patient and/or family in goal setting and patient/family training/education
Requirements:
Associates Other Physical Therapist Assistants and Graduates eligible for licensure will be considered, upon hire
Physical Therapy Assistant: TX, upon hire
Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
