Job Description:

Join the fast-growing Wearables and AI Smart Glasses industry at Meta Reality Labs! We are seeking a Physical (Visual) Merchandising Manager to lead and execute our retail channel merchandising strategy across South Korea. This dynamic hybrid role requires a blend of visual merchandising leadership and hands-on field operations, serving as the crucial link between internal cross-functional teams, support agencies, and retail partners. The role involves frequent in-country travel to retail locations across South Korea to ensure execution quality and foster partner engagement, along with moderate international travel. You will be instrumental in driving Meta's progression within the South Korean Consumer Electronics, Mobile Network Operators retail environment by leading temporary and long-term retail display programs, managing field merchandising execution, and ensuring the flawless implementation of global physical fixture standards. By bringing our products - including Meta Quest, Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, and future wearables - to life in-store, you will help customers find, learn, and experience the next evolution in social technology.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the planning, design, production sell-in, and implementation of compelling retail display programs that showcase Meta's product portfolio (Quest, Ray-Ban Meta, etc.) across the South Korea market, supporting both campaign-oriented temporary pop-ups (interactive demo zones, window installations) and long-term furniture / fixture programs
  • Act as primary liaison between fixture vendor partners, graphic producers, and internal marketing teams, maintaining project management documents to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of retail fixtures: design approval, production, logistics, installation, and decommissioning
  • Utilize internal tools to generate purchase orders, track spending, and drive process efficiencies
  • Prepare and manage merchandising budgets
  • maintain accurate forecasting and cost control across all display programs
  • Coordinate with regional and global teams to ensure South Korea display programs align with worldwide fixture standards while accommodating local retailer requirements
  • Analyze the performance of new display programs and visual updates, providing post-mortem reports and data-driven recommendations to global and regional leadership to continuously optimize retail execution and sales conversion
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute a large volume of merchandising projects across multiple retail partners in South Korea
  • Ensure all field merchandising components—including fixtures, demo units, graphics, and display technologies—are functioning properly and maintained to Meta's high standards
  • Build highly detailed execution plans, enforce global in-store processes, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to maximize ROI on all merchandising investments
  • Review execution instructions, process invoices, and manage regular calls with third-party labor partners and agencies to keep all deliverables on track
  • Manage relationships with 3rd-party merchandising agencies
  • oversee field team performance, coverage models, and execution quality
  • Monitor inventory of merchandising materials (fixtures, POS, demo units)
  • coordinate restocking, replacements, and returns as needed
  • Capture before-and-after documentation and submit detailed reports on merchandising execution, store conditions, and competitor activity

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in retail physical project management, in-store visual/physical merchandising (brand or vendor side), or field operations within large organizations
  • Proven experience working with Consumer Electronics retail partners (e.g., Lotte Hi-Mart, Electro Mart, Samsung Digital Plaza, LG Best Shop, Coupang/SSG.com offline/shop-in-shop presence, electronic specialty retailers, mobile network operators, etc.) in the South Korea market
  • Clear understanding of retail fixture production, installation implementation, and the unique operating conditions of different local retailers
  • Exceptional attention to detail with demonstrated experience in creating project trackers, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling spend
  • Highly effective at managing conflict and navigating complex, international business environments
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office applications, and familiarity with AI tools

  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Direct experience managing consumer electronics visual merchandising and/or fixture programs at scale
  • Experience with AR/VR, wearable technology, or smart eyewear product categories
  • Background in both brand-side and agency-side retail merchandising
  • Knowledge of design software and visual presentation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or similar)
