Job Description

Secondary Physical Education (P.E.) Teachers Required - Bury St Edmunds. Are you a qualified Physical Education Teacher looking for the freedom to teach without the pressure of full-time responsibilities? Do you want to regain your work-life balance while still keeping your passion for sports, health, and fitness alive? We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Secondary P.E. Teachers for daily, short-term supply cover at a variety of secondary schools and academies in Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding area.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging pre-planned practical sports sessions and theoretical P.E. lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • gain experience in a range of secondary settings
  • manage own diary and work the days that suit you

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification with a specialism in Physical Education
  • ability to confidently manage, motivate, and engage large groups of students across a variety of indoor and outdoor sports
  • strong classroom and behaviour management strategies with a high awareness of health and safety regulations on the field and in the gym
  • flexible, proactive attitude and a willingness to adapt to different school policies and kit requirements
  • valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
