Job Description:

ABOUT THE JOB: Maintain, refactor, and enhance existing applications built in PHP legacy versions. Analyze legacy codebases and propose improvements for performance, maintainability, and scalability. Participate in application modernization initiatives and migration projects. Develop new features and modules following best practices and client needs. Work closely with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Project Managers). Troubleshoot incidents and provide technical support when needed. Ensure code quality through testing, documentation, and reviews. Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Proven experience with PHP (including legacy versions and Yii framework)
  • Strong understanding of web application architecture and MVC frameworks
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
  • Ability to analyze and work with large legacy codebases
  • Experience with version control tools (Git)
  • Familiarity with Linux environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
  • Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment
  • Good English communication
