Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Photocopier Service Engineer to become part of expanding and forward-thinking team. This role will involve primarily supporting Sharp multifunction devices, delivering technical support, maintenance, and installations for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong technical background and excellent customer service skills to join a growing business within the office technology sector.

Job Responsibility

  • Attend and respond to customer service requests efficiently, ensuring service targets, including a four-hour response objective, are achieved
  • Install, set up, and commission new devices at customer premises
  • Keep regular communication with the office regarding availability and provide end-of-day updates
  • Ensure punctual attendance at the first scheduled customer appointment by 9:00am each day
  • Present a professional image and provide a high standard of customer care at all times
  • Record and monitor parts usage accurately to support manufacturer warranty procedures
  • Provide assistance in the workshop when needed and help maintain a clean, tidy, and secure working environment
  • Ensure company vehicle stock levels are maintained with appropriate spare parts and consumables
  • Attend training sessions delivered by manufacturers and suppliers as required
  • Support the business with any additional tasks relevant to the role when needed
  • Maintain an Enhanced DBS check in accordance with company procedures, renewing every three years

Requirements

  • Located within an area that allows effective coverage of customer network
  • Previous experience working with Sharp, Konica Minolta, Lexmark, or Riso equipment would be beneficial, although manufacturer training can be provided where necessary
  • Good IT and networking knowledge, including experience with: Installing and setting up print drivers on PCs and server environments
  • Configuring scan-to-email and scan-to-folder features
  • Familiarity with print management software such as PaperCut or MyQ would be an advantage but is not essential
  • A positive approach and excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong planning and organisational abilities with the confidence to manage workload independently
  • Ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining a professional approach with customers
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points
  • Prepared to complete and maintain an Enhanced DBS check

Nice to have
