Impact Lives as a Phlebotomist. LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor to join our team in Reno, NV. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday hours will vary between 6:00 am – 6:00 pm based on coverage needs; Weekend hours may be required as needed. As a Phlebotomy Supervisor you will lead a team of Phlebotomists and directly impact the Patient/Client experience. You will manage and oversee all aspects of our LabCorp patient service centers and designated client locations. This role emphasizes your ability to lead, inspire, and develop others.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise a team of approximately 25 or more phlebotomists working in Patient Service Centers and/or physician's offices in Carson City, Elko and Reno, NV
Manage patient flow, wait times, inventory levels, and information logs
Monitor monthly productivity and report any deviations as necessary
Coordinate phlebotomists' schedules through resourceful and creative thinking
Perform operational duties such as payroll, monthly schedules, and performance appraisals
Partner with Human Resources regarding employee relations issues and disciplinary actions
Hire and train phlebotomists to fill any open positions
Communicate effectively to internal and external customers including patients, client office staff, sales team, logistics and senior management
Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and clients
Assist in the set-up of new Patient Service Centers or Client Offices
Provide resolution of any patient or client issues
Perform, collect, and prepare specimens when needed
Travel to additional sites as necessary
Requirements:
Nevada state issued laboratory assistant license
Associates Degree
Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program from an accredited agency
3 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in clinical / hospital environment
Pediatric - Geriatric patient experience
Phlebotomy managerial, supervisory, team leader experience
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
Exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills

Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Be at least 21 years old
Valid Driver's License
Reliable transportation and clean driving record
