Job Description

Join a patient-centered clinical team collecting and processing blood specimens in a high-volume, regulated environment. You’ll deliver excellent donor/patient care, ensure specimen quality, and follow HIPAA/PHI standards at all times.

Job Responsibility

Greet, screen, and prepare donors/patients
verify ID and consent
ensure confidentiality
Perform venipuncture and capillary collections
monitor donors/patients and respond to adverse reactions
Set up, operate, and disconnect collection equipment
dispose of biohazard materials per protocol
Label, process, and document specimens accurately (EMR/LIS)
maintain chain of custody
Inspect and maintain phlebotomy stations, supplies, and PPE
escalate equipment issues
Uphold infection control, safety, and quality standards
complete required logs and audits
Provide compassionate, professional service
build rapport to support comfort and retention

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
MediClear (or equivalent HIPAA certification) required
Superior customer service and communication skills
ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Willingness to work a flexible schedule (including some evenings/weekends/holidays as needed)

Nice to have

Phlebotomy certification (e.g., CPT, RPT) and/or prior clinical phlebotomy experience
Familiarity with EMR/EHR/LIS workflows and specimen handling in a regulated setting
