A leading regional healthcare provider is seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join its laboratory team. This role is essential in ensuring quality specimen collection, accurate documentation, and compliance with healthcare and laboratory standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, precision, and empathy when interacting with patients of all ages.
Job Responsibility:
Collect high-quality specimens from adult, geriatric, pediatric, and infant patients for diagnostic testing in accordance with standards
Perform phlebotomy procedures and assist with EKG testing for outpatients as needed
Verify patient identity and ensure accurate labeling and handling of all samples
Communicate effectively with laboratory personnel, clinicians, and patients
Respond to service and billing inquiries and assist with compliance documentation
Maintain accurate and complete records to meet compliance requirements
Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and secure work environment
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Phlebotomy certification preferred
1–2 years of phlebotomy or laboratory experience preferred
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow strict clinical protocols
Strong interpersonal communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care
