Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, enthusiastic and skilled phlebotomist to join our amazing team. The successful candidate will be looking for a minimum of 22 hours per week, with a degree of flexibility. Do you have a steady hand and a big heart? If the answer is yes, we need you!

Job Responsibility

  • Delivering a high-quality phlebotomy service to a diverse patient population
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring all documentation is completed to the highest standard
  • Managing your appointments effectively, and contributing to the smooth running of clinics
  • Working collaboratively with the wider practice team
  • Adhering to infection prevention and control procedures, health and safety requirements, and professional standards
  • Responding professionally to changing priorities and service demands while maintaining a calm, patient focused approach
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of services and helping to ensure our patients receive the best possible care and service

Requirements

  • Experience of Phlebotomy
  • Experience of using EMIS Web
  • Experience of working in Primary Care
  • An understanding, acceptance, and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality
  • Commitment to ensuring equity of access to health care for all
  • Ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness and common sense
  • Be organised, reliable and dependable

  • Resolves routine problems related to specimen collection and specimen processing
