In our 'Steer-by-Wire' sub-department, we deal with future topics in the field of steering systems, in particular primarily with steer-by-wire steering systems. The department has expertise at all system levels, from the mechanical design of the steering systems to the selection and specification of electronic components and its own software development. Job Responsibility:
Analyzing the mechanical subsystems of a steer-by-wire system: FFA (Force Feedback Actuator) and RWA (Road Wheel Actuator)
Developing system models
Developing virtual sensors for the technical optimization of the steering system with regard to performance and costs, as well as developing functions based on this
Testing and validating the developed functions in simulation, on the test bench and in the vehicle on the proving ground as well as parameterizing the functions
Transferring the development results into the series development process
Requirements:
Good to very good university degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, control engineering or comparable qualifications giving access to doctoral studies
Programming skills, especially in MATLAB/Simulink, C
Extensive experience in the field of control engineering
Knowledge in the field of technical mechanics and automotive engineering
Analytical thinking as well as teamwork and initiative
