As a PhD candidate in the highly relevant field of electromobility, you will have the opportunity to gain in-depth insights into the usage behavior of different electric vehicle customer groups and its impact on vehicle usage, charging infrastructure, and the energy sector. The final doctoral topic is defined together with the professor.
Job Responsibility:
Leveraging a group‑wide mobility simulation framework and driving its further development using innovative, scientific methods
Developing and validating digital twins of today’s electric mobility in selected regions as part of an interdisciplinary team
Deriving realistic market ramp‑up scenarios based on the modeled systems
Supporting the Group brands and Group strategy with holistic insights into sales potential as well as novel business models emerging from intelligent integration with the energy sector
Requirements:
Good to very good university degree qualifying for doctoral studies in transportation sciences, mathematics, computer science, or a comparable field
Good programming skills, particularly in Java and Python
English and German language level B2
Experience in mobility research or customer studies is an advantage
High level of independence and commitment
Strong team spirit and intellectual curiosity
