Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician position at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence. Responsible for assisting patients, filling prescriptions accurately, maintaining inventory, and providing compassionate care. May support immunizations where permitted by law.

Job Responsibility:

Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly
Fill prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow Standard Operating Procedures at each workstation
Provide compassionate care and solve patient problems
Complete basic inventory activities
Support immunizations where allowable by law
Educate patients about vaccines
Monitor for adverse reactions

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
If state board doesn't mandate minimum age, must be at least 16 years of age
If state board doesn't mandate minimum education, must have high school diploma or equivalent or be actively enrolled
Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on tasks
Ability to pivot quickly between tasks
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Customer service skills
Communication skills
Mathematical reasoning ability
Problem resolution skills
Physical mobility and ability to lift up to 20 lbs

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations
