Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician position at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams in delivering operational and service excellence. Role involves assisting patients, ensuring smooth pharmacy operations, filling prescriptions accurately, and providing caring service that exceeds patient expectations. Technicians operate as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of Standard Operating Procedures and effective communication.

Job Responsibility:

Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly
Fill prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices
Demonstrate genuine care in customer interactions
Contribute to safe and inclusive culture
Complete company training program
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off)
Create heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients
Offer immunizations and other services
Solve or escalate patient problems
Complete basic inventory activities
Support immunizations (where permissible)
Educate patients about vaccines
Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions
Review and collect patient information
Monitor and manage vaccine supplies

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
If state board does not address minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If state board does not address minimum educational requirement, must have high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Notice and understand patients' reactions
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Utilize active listening
Ability to use math to solve pharmacy problems
Identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions
Physical mobility and ability to remain upright for extended periods
Lifting, scanning, and bagging items
Reaching overhead and stretching
Fine finger manipulation
Extending hands and arms in multiple directions
Control precision for machine adjustment
Stooping and bending
Close visual acuity for transcribing, computer work, reading
Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally
Express or exchange ideas by spoken word
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations
