Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician role at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence. Technicians assist the pharmacy team to ensure smooth pharmacy operations, accurate prescription fulfillment, and provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations.

Job Responsibility:

Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow Standard Operating Procedures and pharmacy workflow procedures
Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law
Support immunizations where allowable by law and supported by required training and certification

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
If state board does not mandate minimum age, must be at least 16 years of age
If state board does not mandate minimum education, must have high school diploma or equivalent or be actively enrolled
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention and focus abilities

Mathematical reasoning
Problem resolution skills
Physical demands including mobility, lifting, reaching, and visual acuity

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
