Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician role at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams in delivering operational and service excellence. Technicians assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, patients' prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations.

Job Responsibility:

Follow company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
Complete basic inventory activities as directed by pharmacy leadership
Contribute to a high-performing team and embrace growth mindset
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs
Understand and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards
Deliver additional patient health care services where allowable by law
Support immunizations where permissible including preparing and administering vaccines
Educate patients about vaccines
Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions
Review and collect patient information
Monitor and manage vaccine supplies

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
If state board does not mandate minimum age, must be at least 16 years of age
If state board does not mandate minimum education, must have high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly between tasks
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Customer service orientation with friendly manner
Good communication skills including verbal and written communication
Mathematical reasoning ability for prescription calculations
Problem resolution skills
Physical mobility and ability to remain upright for extended periods
Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
Ability to reach overhead and stretch
Finger dexterity for repetitive tasks
Ability to stoop and bend
Close visual acuity for reading and inspection
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations
