Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
Intermediate keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, touch typing)
Basic PC and web browser skills (navigating programs, online forms, and search engines)
Ability to push, pull, grasp, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Willingness to work a flexible shift
Must be licensed in state of TX

Job Responsibility

Data Entry & Order Processing: Process new patient registrations, handle refill requests, interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes), and resolve data entry exceptions
Fulfillment Operations: Run automated machinery, sort medications, count and fill prescriptions, affix labels, pack, and ship orders while maintaining strict quality control
Insurance & Third-Party Claims: Troubleshoot and resolve rejected insurance claims by reviewing, correcting, and resubmitting information according to plan requirements
Maintenance & Collaboration: Assist on-site and remote pharmacists, escalate complex issues to senior staff, and help clean and maintain machinery to keep an orderly workspace

Job Responsibility

Fills Pyxis, Pyxis Cubbies, & non-Pyxis medications and delivers them to the Nursing units
Assists in IV preparation
Interviews patients, family member or caretaker to obtain medication histories
Fills initial medication orders and delivers them to patient care areas
Medication inventory functions
Credits and returns to stock IV's and medications
Checks in and puts away medications and IV fluids from wholesaler and storeroom
Answers telephones and troubleshoots missing medication questions from patient care areas
Runs and fills out pharmacy information system reports
Fills stock medication orders, checks par levels, checks expiration dates, and delivers medications
