Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians play an important role at CVS Health by providing compassionate and caring service to patients while ensuring their medication needs are met in compliance with laws and regulations. This role offers opportunities for growth through training programs and expanded responsibilities.

Job Responsibility:

Manage pharmacy workstations and tasks to promptly, safely and accurately fill patient prescriptions
provide caring service exceeding customer expectations
ensure medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met
demonstrate ethical conduct and maintain patient confidentiality
participate in extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program
expand clinical, technical and insurance knowledge by leveraging available tools and training.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age
licensure requirements vary by state
ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
ability to notice and understand customers’ reactions and respond appropriately
ability to use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues
actively listen by giving full attention to others and taking time to understand points being made
ability to use math to solve problems such as calculating day’s supply of prescriptions
ability to judge when something is wrong or likely to go wrong
ability to choose the best course of action in complex situations
ability to have close visual acuity for activities such as viewing a computer terminal and reading
ability to undertake physical tasks like lifting up to 30 lbs, moving about on foot, and typing primarily with fingers.

Nice to have:

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
high school diploma or equivalent.
