Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians deliver compassionate care to millions of patients daily, supporting the filling of prescriptions, compliance with legal and ethical standards, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Job Responsibility:

Promptly, safely, and accurately fill patient prescriptions while providing caring service
comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations
maintain the highest professional and ethical standards
demonstrate ethical conduct and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
manage all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks
complete CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and fulfill registration, licensing, and certification requirements based on State’s Board of Pharmacy
build clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge to develop pharmacy career.

Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years of age
licensure requirements vary by state
ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
actively look for ways to help people and do so in a friendly manner
notice and understand customers’ reactions and respond appropriately
use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues
actively listening, giving full attention to others' points, asking questions appropriately, not interrupting inappropriately
ability to use math for problem-solving, such as calculating day’s supply of a prescription
ability to judge when something is wrong or likely to go wrong, recognize problems, choose best course of action
physical ability to remain upright, move about, pick and type with fingers, extend hands and arms, bend body forward, stoop
required to have close visual acuity for tasks such as transcribing, viewing computer terminals, visual inspections involving small parts
occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Nice to have:

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
high school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
