Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician role at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence. Technicians assist the pharmacy team to ensure smooth pharmacy operations, accurate prescription fulfillment, and provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations. The role involves working at various pharmacy workstations including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.

Job Responsibility:

Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow Standard Operating Procedures and pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations
Show empathy and genuine care creating heartfelt and personalized moments
Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law
Contribute to positive team dynamic and embrace growth mindset
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs
Understand and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards
Support immunizations where allowable by law

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
If state board does not mandate minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If state board does not mandate minimum educational requirement, must have high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Notice and understand patients' reactions and respond appropriately
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Ability to use math to solve problems
Identifying challenging interactions and choosing best course of action
Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift items, reach overhead, move fingers repetitively, extend arms, control precision, stoop, and have close visual acuity
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
