Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians at CVS Health play a critical role in delivering operational and service excellence within retail pharmacies. Technicians assist in prescription fulfillment, patient interaction, inventory management, and supporting the pharmacy team. This role requires compliance with pharmacy guidelines and regulations, dedication to patient care, and a growth-focused mindset.

Job Responsibility:

Living the company purpose by following all company SOPs
Following pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contributing to positive patient experiences by providing empathetic care and personalized service
Completing inventory activities, as directed by the pharmacy leadership team
Embracing a growth mindset and being receptive to feedback
Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs
Understanding and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Supporting immunizations, including preparing and administering vaccines in compliance with state laws

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention and focus
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy, ensuring patient safety
Customer service skills and team orientation
Communication skills
Mathematical reasoning
Problem resolution skills
Ability to meet physical demands, including mobility, lifting up to 20 lbs, and visual acuity
Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
