Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician role at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence. Technicians assist the pharmacy team to ensure smooth pharmacy operations, accurate prescription fulfillment, and exceptional patient care. Role involves working across various pharmacy workstations and providing compassionate service to patients.

Job Responsibility:

Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow Standard Operating Procedures and best practices
Complete company training program and satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements
Perform pharmacy workflow procedures at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off stations
Show empathy and genuine care to create heartfelt patient moments
Offer immunizations and other services at register and over phone
Complete basic inventory activities as directed by pharmacy leadership
Support immunizations where permissible by completing additional licensure and training

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
If state does not mandate minimum age, must be at least 16 years of age
If state does not mandate minimum education, must have high school diploma or equivalent or be actively enrolled
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly between tasks
Customer service orientation with friendly manner
Good communication skills including verbal and written
Mathematical reasoning ability for prescription calculations
Problem resolution skills
Physical ability to stand upright for extended periods, lift items, reach overhead, and perform fine motor tasks

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations
