Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational excellence and ensure prescriptions are filled accurately and promptly. These professionals contribute to patient health care services, inventory management, and the positive experience of customers while complying with laws and policies.

Job Responsibility:

Following all company SOPs to help pharmacists manage and improve patient health
Contributing to positive patient experiences through empathy and genuine care
Completing basic inventory activities such as medication deliveries and cycle counts
Expanding clinical and technical knowledge to better assist patients
Understanding and complying with laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy
Delivering additional patient health care services such as immunizations and offsite clinic staffing, where allowable by law
Completing training and licensure requirements to support immunizations

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to age, education, and licensure/certification
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 18 years of age
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
