Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence at CVS Health locations. Technicians are responsible for assisting the pharmacy team, ensuring smooth pharmacy operations, fulfilling prescriptions accurately and promptly, and providing excellent patient care. They adhere to company SOPs, comply with laws and regulations, and contribute positively to team dynamics.

Job Responsibility:

Following all company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
completing basic inventory activities as directed by the pharmacy leadership team
contributing to a high-performing team and being receptive to feedback
remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs
understanding and complying with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and CVS policies
delivering additional patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing
educating patients about the importance of vaccines
monitoring for and responding to adverse vaccine reactions.

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
if the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
if the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
state-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs.
