Job Responsibility:
Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow Standard Operating Procedures and workflow procedures at pharmacy workstations
Create heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over phone
Offer immunizations and other services at register and over phone
Complete basic inventory activities as directed by pharmacy leadership
Support immunizations where permissible by completing additional licensure and training requirements
Educate patients about importance of vaccines
Monitor and respond to adverse reactions
Requirements:
Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
If state board does not mandate minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If state board does not mandate minimum educational requirement, must have high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention and focus: ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly between tasks
Customer service orientation: actively look for ways to help people in friendly manner
Communication skills: use verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues
Mathematical reasoning: ability to use math to solve problems like determining tablet counts and day's supply
Problem resolution: identify challenging interactions and choose best course of action
Physical demands: mobile and remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, reach overhead, stoop, visual acuity for reading and inspection
Nice to have:
1-3 years previous experience as Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in home store and across market in other locations to meet business needs
