Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician position at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams in delivering operational and service excellence. Responsible for assisting patients, ensuring accurate prescription fulfillment, following standard operating procedures, and contributing to a safe and inclusive team environment.

Job Responsibility:

Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver an exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly
Ensure patients' prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow all company SOPs at each workstation
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off)
Create heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients
Offer immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone
Complete basic inventory activities as directed
Accurately put away medication deliveries
Complete cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, waiting bin inventories
Remain flexible for both scheduling and business needs
Voluntarily travel to stores in the market to work shifts as needed
Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws
Comply with CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety
Deliver additional patient health care services (immunizations, point-of-care testing, staffing offsite clinics)
Support immunizations where permissible

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
Must be at least 16 years of age (if state doesn't mandate minimum age)
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program (if state doesn't mandate education)
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Notice and understand patients' reactions
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Utilize active listening
Ability to use math to solve pharmacy problems

Physical mobility and ability to remain upright for extended periods

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations
