Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians provide compassionate care in a leading retail pharmacy company, ensuring medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met. The role involves supporting team efforts in filling prescriptions, maintaining ethical and professional standards, and completing CVS training programs.

Job Responsibility:

Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to fill patient prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately
provide exceptional customer service
demonstrate accountability, caring, collaboration, innovation, and integrity
comply with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations
demonstrate ethical conduct and maintain patient confidentiality

Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years of age
licensure requirements vary by state
ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
notice and understand customers’ reactions and respond appropriately
use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues
actively listen without interrupting at inappropriate times
ability to use math to solve problems, such as calculating day’s supply of a prescription
ability to judge when something is wrong or likely to go wrong
ability to choose the best course of action in complex situations
physical ability to remain upright, move about on foot, and perform actions requiring the use of fingers and arms
visual acuity for transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and inspecting small parts
occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs
ability to work ethically while ensuring patient confidentiality
completion of CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program
registration, licensing, and certification according to state guidelines

Nice to have:

Previous experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
high school diploma or equivalent
