Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician role at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence. Technicians assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, patients' prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations.

Job Responsibility:

Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow Standard Operating Procedures and workflow procedures at pharmacy workstations
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
Complete basic inventory activities as directed by pharmacy leadership
Contribute to high-performing team and embrace growth mindset
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs
Understand and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards
Support immunizations where permissible by law

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
If state board does not mandate minimum age, must be at least 16 years of age
If state board does not mandate minimum education, must have high school diploma or equivalent or be actively enrolled
Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly between tasks
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Customer service orientation with friendly manner
Good communication skills including verbal and written
Mathematical reasoning ability for prescription calculations
Problem resolution skills
Physical ability to stand upright for extended periods, lift items, reach overhead, and perform other physical demands

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in home store and across market in other locations
