Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician position at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams in delivering operational and service excellence. Responsible for assisting patients, ensuring prescriptions are filled accurately, following standard operating procedures, and contributing to positive patient experiences through compassionate care and service.

Job Responsibility:

Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly
Ensure patients' prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow all company SOPs at each workstation
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off)
Create heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients
Offer immunizations and other services at register and over phone
Demonstrate compassionate care by solving or escalating patient problems
Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law
Support immunizations where allowable by law (preparing and administering vaccines)
Educate patients about importance of vaccines
Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions
Review and collect patient information
Monitor and manage vaccine supplies

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
If state board doesn't mandate minimum age, must be at least 16 years of age
If state board doesn't mandate minimum education, must have high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Notice and understand patients' reactions and respond appropriately
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Utilize active listening
Ability to use math to solve pharmacy problems
Identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions and choosing the best course of action
Physical ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
